CHART offers many activities and opportunities for its member families. (You must be a member to participate in our support group activities)

Event Day--2nd Thursday of every month at 8:30 AM at New Covenant Church in Thomasville. Age-graded activities for students and support for parents from nursery through high school.

Enrichment Program--Classes for middle and high schoolers in specific topics, held on every Tuesday of the month.

Monthly Field Trips--announced at Event Day, our email loop and newsletter.

Pizza Hut Book-It Program--Motivational program sponsored by Pizza Hut to encourage good reading habits.

Cultural Center Classes--opportunities for art and music lessons

Athletics--classes and groups learn and play in many sports such as soccer, bowling, golf and more.

Monthly newsletter--to members with informational articles, announcements, classified ads and more.

Members Area and Email forum-- for those with internet access, for quick information and news of interest to those who homeschool.

Yearbook--and opportunities for budding young journalists and photographers to lend a helping hand.

Annual group testing--for mandatory standardized tests with a qualified administrator.

New and used book sales--usually held in conjunction with our fall kickoff meeting.

Encouragement and advice*--from someone who has tried that curriculum; been frustrated; wanted to quit; been discouraged; also wonders if it's OK to conduct school in pajamas; conquered a problem; found out what worked; has a child with the same learning style yours has; learned how to juggle housework, schoolwork and a baby; seen the fruit of their labors; cried when their child read their first words or learned their multiplication tables, etc.
